Guest Membership

Guest membership is available by invitation only to individuals aged 18 and over. It provides a three-month opportunity to experience the club.

Benefits:

• Attend club events as a guest.
• Receive the monthly newsletter, 'Argus', featuring route information and Victorian climbing news.
• Participate in club trips to various climbing locations, organised by experienced members.

Limitations:

• Guest members are not eligible for a digital membership card, which provides full club members with discounts at Victorian climbing gyms and outdoor shops.
• Guest membership is non-renewable. Individuals should apply for full club membership (ordinary, concession or family) during or after the guest period.

Setting up your guest membership

Set up is a three step process:

1. Get invited to become a guest member. This usually happens when a non-member registers for a club event. The event organiser will contact you and create your account in the VCC Member Portal.
2. Set up your account:
   1. Go to the VCC Membership page in the portal. It page shows the publically available membership levels
   2. Select 'Log in' in the top right of the page, enter your email address and select 'Next'. This is the email address you supplied to the event organiser
   3. Select 'I forgot my password' and follow the prompts to set a password for your new account.
   4. Go back to the VCC Membership page and log in using your new password
   5. Your account now shows 'Guest Membership'.
3. Apply for guest membership. Locate the 'Guest' membership and select 'Register'. Follow the prompts to register - no payment is required. Note: You will only see 'Guest' membersjhip when you are logged into the VCC Member Portal.
